Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Monday that Iran`s official news agency, IRNA, shoulders a grave duty and that is dissemination of information on Iran to the four corners of the world.
Mottaki, addressing IRNA chief, managers and editors-in-chief after inspecting different parts of IRNA, said IRNA is the friend and mouthpiece of the government which reflects its services and performance.
Mottaki said IRNA reporters and representative offices inside the and outside the country are capable enough to fulfill their mission.
He then briefed IRNA on talks on the country`s nuclear program as well as the Foreign Ministry`s plans for next year.
