Aug 24,2008

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that the next decade has been designated an era of development and justice.
President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in Markazi province on Sunday in a meeting with families of martyrs and of those wounded during eight years of Sacred Defense (1980-1988 Iraq-imposed war).
`Human-being is unable to experience prosperity without attaining development,` he said.
To attain such significant goal, `We should move forward in various cultural, industrial, economic and development fields based on a timetable, he said.
Whenever the Iranian nation attains success and development, its enemies do their best to create obstacles on their way, said the president.
They try to launch a smear campaign against Iran, he said.
On launching Safir-e Omid (Messenger of Hope) satellite by Iranian experts, he said, `They are concerned about our success in the field and claim that the move might enhance our military capabilities in general.
` Addressing the leaders of big powers, he said `What should be revised is your ailing thoughts.
`You are very bad-tempered, violate other nations` rights and possess nuclear bombs and in fact it is us who should blame you for these.
` He added, `Iran is to sign contracts on gas and energy with other countries but they oppose this and exert pressure on countries which seek to sign deals with us.
` Referring to the atrocities and crimes of the Zionist regime in occupied territories, he said that the Palestinian nation should administer their own affairs and live in peace in their motherland.
He asked why criminal attacks are conducted on them and the rights of a nation are trampled upon so blatantly.
`We strongly call for justice in the land,` he underlined.
