President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said all efforts made by the enemies of Iran to impose more sanctions will only make Iranians more determined for progress.
Ahmadinejad, who is visiting Markazi province, told residents of Arak city on Saturday afternoon that ill wishers of the Islamic Republic worked hard to make the nation surrender, but the Iranian young people and scientists by breaking the sanctions reached the peaks of progress and development.
Referring to the Iranian success in the field of space and launching telecommunications satellite, the president said, `This type of missile is among the most progressive equipment in the world and Iranian scientists and young people, in spite of all sanctions and without any need to others, built the satellite and launched it into orbit.
` With the help of God, nowadays, our people have obtained the technology to develop different kinds of satellite and missiles to carry them into orbit and we will shortly use our ability completely, the president said.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Iranians do not need big powers in any way, but they support interaction and dialogue.
`Of course, in the negotiations, Iran`s position must be observed and talks should be held upon mutual respect,` the president added.
Ahmadinejad said that the era of empires, exertion of force and plundering is over and the big powers are in falling down.
Elsewhere in his speech, the president said Iranians are theists, freedom and justice lovers adding, `We should unite to make this land a model of Islamic society.
` Referring to the Iranian scientists and young people`s success in the issues like nuclear energy, space, bio-technology and nano- technology, President Ahmadinejad said, `While all enemies and ill wishers of the Islamic Republic were strongly opposed to our progress, we achieved such successes.
` `Enemies disconnected our TV networks to prevent Iranian message from reaching other nations, but our young people are designing and building communications satellites which will be launched soon, Ahmadinejad added.
The president and his cabinet are paying a provincial visit to the Markazi province in which people problems as well as projects and development plans will be considered closely.
