Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki received Greek new ambassador to Tehran Nicolas Greelidis here Monday.
The Greek diplomat submitted a copy of his credentials to the Foreign Minister Mottaki.
The Iranian top diplomat by referring to the old ties between the two countries which stand upon friendship and cooperation expressed hope that the trend can be continued.
Mottaki said, `There are good potentials for developing bilateral ties and the continuation of consultations between Iran and Greece can be useful.
` Greelidis by expressing interest in Iran`s civilization and culture said, `Ties between the two countries can be expanded in the fields of culture and economy in addition to the politics.
