Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Saturday that the significant characteristic of the ninth government is its commitment, energy, as well as its seriousness in rendering invaluable services to people.
The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his cabinet on the occasion of Government Week which started on Saturday.
The fourth decade of the Islamic Revolution should be regarded as the era of significant development and justice in which all goals should be attained, said Ayatollah Khamenei.
The ninth government made a big stride to revive the path of the Late Imam Khomeini and seriously dealt with those seeking to dismantle this course, said the Supreme Leader.
Among the significant characteristics of the ninth government, the Supreme Leader pointed to its justice-seeking and its campaign against global hegemony which are among the mottos of the revolutionary government.
Criticizing those in the past who felt ashamed to deal with aliens, the Supreme Leader said the current government takes pride in its pledges namely its commitment to revolutionary promises.
`Iran`s peaceful nuclear activities is now regarded as manifestation of our national identity,` said the Supreme Leader adding that a number of bullying powers wanted to dictate to us their useless and outdated policies but to no avail.
The revolutionary government has made courageous decisions in dealing with corruption as well as major problems in the society which is very admirable, said Ayatollah Khamenei.
Global arrogance has plenty of weak points which all should be magnified to seriously deal with them, pointed out the Supreme Leader.
The government should take the people into confidence and seek their views in dealing with problems, underlined the Supreme Leader.
Rationality and wisdom are the prerequisite for administration of justice in the society, said the Supreme Leader and urged all organizations to spare no efforts to help achieve the targets laid down in country`s development plan.
On economic development, the Supreme Leader said the government should try to control inflation while noting that it is a global issue.
