Iran-Turkey working association starts session

The Iran-Turkey working association meeting started Friday to look into ways of expanding mutual economic and commercial cooperation.
The meeting, chaired by Iranian and Turkish presidents, will also study private sector`s growing presence in mutual trade.
Turkey`s Foreign Economic relations Board (DEIK) and Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) have co-sponsored the meeting in Istanbul.
The TOBB President Rifat Hisarciklioglu, the chairman of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines (ICCIM), Mohammad Nahavandian, and a group of Iranian and Turkish entrepreneurs were present in the closed-door session.
Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Turkish president Abdullah Gul, Nahavanidan and Head of Iran-Turkey Labor Council Ali Uthman Ulusoy are to address the audience.
The Iran-Turkey trade volume stands at about dlrs 10 billion which is to be increased to dlrs 20 billion in a short period of time.
