Iranian and Egyptian presidents in a telephone conversation on Monday evening condemned the recent crimes of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and President Hosni Mubarak also called for acceleration of lifting of Gaza siege.
The two presidents underscored the need for helping the innocent Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip in treatment of the injured.
`Our responsibility gets heavier whenever one more Palestinian is martyred,` President Ahmadinejad said adding, `The time is ripe for assisting the Palestinians to survive this intolerable situation.
` He further underlined the need for cooperation of all Muslim states regarding the Palestinian issue.
Briefing his Iranian counterpart on the latest developments in Gaza, President Mubarak called for rapid dispatch of foodstuff, fuel and medicine to the people of Gaza.
