On the sidelines of the 62nd UN General Assembly, Iran`s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki conferred on Tuesday with his counterparts from Czech Republic, Jordan, UAE, Dominican Republic and Serbia on issues of mutual interests. In his meeting with Czech foreign minister, Mottaki voiced Iran`s readiness to expand all-out ties between the two countries and said expansion of regional and international cooperation serves as a good support for bolstering bilateral ties. The Czech foreign minister, underlined the need for exchange of visits by officials from the two countries to help remove probable hurdles on expansion of tie. He voiced the Czech republic`s readiness to develop bilateral ties and said Czech ambassador in Tehran is following up cooperation with Iran. Mottaki also held talks with UAE foreign minister on the obstacles in the way of expansion of economic cooperation. They agreed to study the problems in the meeting of Iran-UAE Joint Economic Commission which is to be kicked off after holy month of Ramadan. In his meeting with Serbian foreign minister, Mottaki highlighted the current developments in the Middle East region, Palestine, Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan and underlined that the three round of talks between Iran and the US on Iraq was aimed at helping restore security in that war-torn country. The Iranian foreign minister underlined the need for expansion of economic cooperation mainly with the countries of the Middle East region.
