Iran, Vietnam review expansion of economic cooperation

Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem conferred on Thursday with Iran`s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries as well as upgrading the current level of ties.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 62nd UN General Assembly session in New York on Thursday.
The Vietnamese foreign minister described Iran as a big and important country which plays a significant role in regional developments.
Calling the current volume of trade exchange between the two countries as insufficient, he called for enhanced trade ties in line with two sides` interests.
