Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki met and conferred with his Luxembourg counterpart Jean Asselborn on Thursday on the sidelines of the 62nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. Mottaki said in the meeting that Iran enjoys good commercial relations with 3 or 4 European countries worth some 35 billion dollars , but is also interested in extending activities in this field to all European countries since there are suitable and varied trade potentialities in different parts of Europe. Mottaki briefed his counterpart on the latest developments in the region including Iraq, Afghanistan and Lebanon and criticized the US policy of defining good and bad terrorism. He stressed that terrorism should be considered bad every where and in any shape or form, and not be used as a political lever. On the nuclear issue, the Iranian official rejected any enrichment suspension, adding that a new round of good cooperation has already started with the International Agency of Atom Energy. The Luxembourg foreign minister in the meeting supported Iran`s continued work with the atomic agency for removing any possible ambiguities.
