Visiting IRI President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Monday evening freedom is among mankind`s ideals, no one is allowed to take advantage of others, occupy their lands, or counter freedom of speech.
Speaking at Yerevan State University, President Ahmadinejad added, `So long as the best pious human beings have not taken the lead in the world, monotheism and justice would not prevail, and kindness, love, prestige for mankind, freedom, blossoming of sciences, and other ideals of mankind would not be achieved` President Ahmadinejad reiterated, `Just as injustice and oppression are trampling upon mankind`s rights to benefit from justice and equality, threats, too, equal denial of mankind`s right to have dignity and prestige.
` Ahmadinejad said, `The entire miseries, oppression, lack of securities, ignorance, and darkness in the world are due to the conduct of the oppressors that ignore such rights of the mankind, and trample upon justice, love, and kindness, replacing them with hatred and humiliation of human beings.
` The president said, `Dialogue based on justice and love for the mankind must prevail throughout the world, and the universities are the best places for discussion over such matters, to save the mankind from the perils it is caught at.
` He emphasized, `We need to revive the divine, humane values brought to mankind by the messengers of God, and to persist in our efforts aimed at establishment of justice and defending the oppressed in their encounters with the oppressors.
` Elsewhere in his address Ahmadinejad said that Iranian and Armenian nations are standing side by side of one another, adding, `Both nations are after the establishment of justice, and assist one another amicably, while the youth, the students and the professors lay significant roles in this respect.
` Appreciating Yerevan University for presenting him a plaque of honor, he said, `You did not award this plaque to Ahmadinejad, but gave it to the entire blessed ethical values of which I spoke here, a sign of Yerevan University`s idealism, and pursuit of justice.
` Ahmadinejad reiterated, `I hereby declare to the entire world that we would stand side by side to the very end, that the bright future of the world is eager for our presence, and that justice and friendship, too, are eager for our efforts.
` Our country`s Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, his Armenian counterpart Vartan Oskanian, and members of the high ranking Iranian delegation accompanying President Ahmadinejad were present at the university.
Head of Yerevan University, Aram Simonyan, gave a brief account on the two countries` historical ties before the Iranian President`s address.
Yerevan University` Gold Medal that is gifted only to the residents of those countries that have excellent ties with Armenian as a sign of closest relations was then presented to President Ahmadinejad by the university`s chancellor.
Before exiting the university Ahmadinejad talked to some Iranian students there.
